HOW TO SAFE PAY ON THE INTERNET BY THE CARD?
Payment gateway WAYFORPAY
Payment gateway WAYFORPAY is a modern tool for fast and secure card payments online. The WAYFORPAY payment gateway enables payments by domestic and foreign cards of the VISA and MasterCard. It also supports payments with its own digital wallet.
Payment security is always the top priority for us
WAYFORPAY complies with worldwide standards and meets the strictest security requirements of MasterCard SecureCode, Verified by VISA, as defined by the VISA and MasterCard card associations. These standards are referred to as 3D Secure and ensure maximum payment security. You can rest assured that we do our best to secure card payments via WAYFORPAY. Our payment gateway complies with the international 3D Secure standard, we never share sensitive data with e-shops. We are also PCI DSS certified according to the strictest international safety regulations.
The PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a set of security standards designed to prevent credit card holder data from leaking.
The payment gateway runs on a secure HTTPS protocol. When paying, all transmitted information between the parties is always encrypted with 128-bit SSL / TLS.
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) are cryptographic protocols that enable secure data transfer over the public Internet. We use the latest TLS 1.2 protocol because of the requirement placed on us by the PCI DSS security standard.
All data processes run on secure servers that meet the highest demands in accordance with the requirements of card associations and PCI DSS.
Paying on the Internet is easy and everyone can do it.
However, it pays to adhere to several security principles. Just as we protect our wallet from thieves, we should protect our payment information.
Which principles are among the most important?
For example, security features such as 3D Secure support, https secure, or setting cash limits on the card. It is also important to recognize the phishing attack in time.

HTTPS SECURITY PROTOCOL
Whenever you pay in an online store, make sure it is a safe site. Its address always starts with https: //. This is a label for a secure website log. You can also identify a safe site by the lock symbol in the upper left corner of the browser, at the beginning of the address bar. It is a so-called SSL / TLS certificate that says that the domain of the site really belongs. Clicking the lock symbol expands to see who has the certificate issued, whether the page is trusted.

TRUSTED E-SHOP
Before you decide to buy goods in a particular e-shop, check it carefully. Especially with unknown shop check:
- Whether the company that owns the e-shop exists
- Terms and Conditions
- Complaints Procedure
- Method of payment and delivery of goods
- Customer reviews
- Logos of card associations on the e-shop website
WAYFORPAY is careful to ensure that the e-shop has placed on its website terms and conditions and other essentials. An e-shop that does not meet these requirements cannot cooperate with us.

3D SECURE TECHNOLOGY
One of the most important security features is undoubtedly 3D Secure. It is a technology that enables simple and fast cardholder authentication. We strongly recommend having 3D Secure Verification enabled with your bank. You will then see the logos of the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode card associations on the merchant website and on the payment gateway. After entering the data from the payment card, the bank sends an SMS with a numeric code to the paying customer. The customer enters this code into the card issuing bank site that is displayed after the 3D Secure is called. Entering the 3D Secure code is a necessary step to complete your payment. Without it, payment will not be made.
-
DO NOT SHARE THE CARD NUMBER
This policy applies to cases where you need to pay online on a third-party browser, such as a coffee shop or a neighbor, a company computer, etc. In such cases, do not stay logged in to your card, even in an e-shop as we offer at WAYFORPAY (card save feature), or within the browser (Google offers this feature).
-
SET THE LIMITS
To make sure your credit card is as secure as possible, set limits for internet payment. We recommend that you set 50 EUR as the default limit. If you'd like to pay a higher amount, raise the limits and lower them once you make a payment. If the card is stolen, the thief could not pay more than the limit you set.
-
WATCH FOR PHISHING FRAUDS
Scammers attack most often using fake emails or social networks. Most often, they try to access your information, such as credit card numbers, card PIN, mobile PIN, passwords for your applications, etc. Remember, such institutions can never ask you for the full card number, different passwords and other personal information for security reasons. Simply delete the suspicious emails that are trying to trick you from your information, and do not respond to it.
-
YOU CAN CLAIM THE PAYMENT
You can use the so-called chargeback for the payment by online card, which serves as a claim. You will ask your bank for a refund if the e-shop did not comply with the terms and conditions and the paid goods were not sent to you or the delivered goods were damaged, of poor quality or otherwise did not correspond to the description of the seller. While the refund process is lengthy, it works as a great protection for paying by card online. Chargeback protection is guaranteed by card associations such as Visa and Mastercard. Chargeback therefore only applies to card payments. If you pay by bank transfer in a fraudulent e-shop, nobody will refund your money.
